GRLKID is a digital archive and curated community for the fashion and art industry. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we'll never do with it. Short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the waitlist, the beta, and the shop — and we don't sell it.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your name, discipline, a link to your work, phone number, and email — what you type into the join-queue form.
- Beta text list: your name and phone number, if you join from the shop or contact page.
- Orders: when the shop opens, your email, shipping address, and what you bought. Payments are handled by Stripe — your card number never touches our servers.
- App account: your email, handle, display name, date of birth, and anything you add to your profile — bio, disciplines, links. We ask for a date of birth to check you meet our minimum age of 13 — we record only that you met it, not the date you entered.
- What you post: the photos, video, and descriptions you upload to the app.
- Contact: whatever you send us at info@grlkid.com.
How we use it
- To hold your place in the queue and contact you when records open.
- To text you about the beta and drops — only if you gave us your number. Message frequency varies; msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP any time to opt out, HELP for help.
- To fulfill and ship orders.
- To review submitted work for the archive.
What we never do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't share your number or email with advertisers.
- Your consent to receive texts is never shared with or sold to third parties for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
A small set of infrastructure providers store or move data on our behalf: Supabase (database), Cloudflare (image and video storage), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and our email/SMS delivery providers. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to leave the text list.
- Email info@grlkid.com to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you — including removing yourself from the waitlist entirely.
- Delete your account from inside the app — Profile → Delete account. That removes your profile, your posts, and the media behind them for good.
Children's privacy
GRLKID is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us information, write to info@grlkid.com — we'll delete the account and the data behind it.
Security
Data lives in access-controlled databases; payment details are handled end-to-end by Stripe. No system is perfect, but we keep the surface small on purpose.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
